JOB DESCRIPTION:
Establish manufacturing processes for new food products to be industrialized in the company. Responsible for process design of new products as part of a product development team
REPORTS TO:
Head of Department
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Support product development technologists to develop safe, efficient and cost-effective manufacturing processes
-Establish and validate new product processes from raw material to finished product
-Reviews concept for industrialization projects: basic process and equipment design and procurement (e.g. costs, feasibility and safety)
-Design process line layout and unit operation specifications
-Writes and updates technical manuals, instructions and guidelines for manufacturing
-Responsible for pilot plant trials, manage and staff and processing technicians as needed
-Establish cleaning procedures for process lines
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
-BSc, MSc or PhD in Chemical Engineering preferred, Food Engineering
-Minimum 3+years working experience in food or chemical/pharmaceutical processing environment involving unit operations to support: milk and flavored beverage processing, cereals extrusion and drying, mixing, materials transfer… related to food processing.
-Liquid HTST pasteurization or UHT treatment of milks or beverages
LANGUAGES NEEDED:
Fluent in Chinese, good English, other languages desirable
OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED:
-Project management and problem solving skills
-Good communication skills, both written and presentation
-CAD line layout, process flow diagram and drawing skills
-Organization and time planning
-Flexible to work closely with a team in a fast moving, rapidly changing environment
