Primary objectives
? To be directly involved in developing and maintaining the profitability of the construction business unite, through safe and efficient management of all aspects of the business;
? To serve company’s clients with superior quality construction services;
? To win new business from clients and potential clients;
? To interact effectively with company personnel to achieve a good team/organization;
? To lead the subordinate functional CM’s to produce sustained profitability.

Specific Accountabilities
Running the Business Unit
? Day-to-day running of the Construction Unit and to achieve or exceed targeted bottom-line results
? Provide ongoing leadership, management, team-building, mentoring, coaching of the Construction Unit
? Providing timely and suitable performance reports for ongoing projects
? Develop and implementing of the Business Development
? Fostering and managing effective relationships with existing and new clients
? Approve tenders for all projects
? Ensure the availability of the capability platform (human, technical and systems) to meet client and project demands
? Oversight of the delivery of projects in accordance with company
? Developing overall business scope, budgets and schedules for the Business Unit
? Development and implementation of Construction Unit initiatives to improve cost effectiveness.
? Planning for quality outcomes in all activities of the business
? Ensuring the implementation of an excellent company health & safety policy and performance.

? Excellent leadership and communication skills
? A proven track record in managing major construction projects with a minimum of 10 years experience as a Construction Manager or Department Manager
? Demonstrable commitment to HSE management
? Working knowledge of industry standard business support systems i.e. project planning packages, cost management systems, quality management systems
? A high level of business development and customer focus
? Good English
