Skill Requirements:
·Master degree required
·At least 5 year experience with Cummins or other engine companies, including at least 2 year management experience
·Ability to understand, interpret and document VOC (OEM)
·Patience – ability to create consensus
·Good communication skills
·Sufficient knowledge of Cummins global products
·VPI knowledge and experience preferred
Key Responsibilities:
·Execute and improve the product planning process
·Define an annual business plan and execute a marketing strategy for products
·Initiate discussions with internal and external parties and refine product/business concepts
·Conduct product oriented market research, gather business intelligence for optimal product positioning
·Lead or participate in customer demonstrations, training, presentations and other proactive sales tools such as road shows/seminars and other marketing activities in specific regions
·Collect voice of customers to understand their requirements and expectations
·Establish good contacts with all OEMs to understand their business needs
·Coordinate with function leaders to develop APP (Aggregated Product Plan)
·Develop annual and 10 year product plan
Communicate product plan and the process of new product development regularly
·Remain knowledgeable and aware of market trends and opportunities, identify area of development that go beyond product specific activities
