Position Summary:
Develops and implements internal and external talent sourcing strategy and processes. Partners with managers and business leaders to determine staffing needs. Executes appropriate recruitment approaches, advertising tactics, and branding strategies, as well as interviewing, assessment, and selection processes. Ensures compliance with all applicable government regulations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates a deep understanding of recruitment and staffing practices and strategies.
- Supports the recruitment needs of large locations or business units.
- Fulfills senior professional, senior managerial, and executive staffing needs. Identifies and contracts with third-party recruiters to assist with executive or difficult placements.
- Reviews complex talent acquisition models, plans, and cost analysis.
- Uses business and industry knowledge when following up with senior level candidates to present the position, the team, and the company’s rewards programs in a consistent and favorable manner. - Negotiates candidate salaries and overcomes candidate misgivings. Demonstrates the ability to attract the most qualified candidates to the organization.
- Recommends creative and unique improvements to Motorola’s talent acquisition goals, methods, and practices.
- Partners with business leaders to implement talent acquisition strategies. Counsels business leaders on the appropriate use of various recruitment methods. Uses status as a leader to provide talent acquisition guidance to a given program or business unit.
- Maintains an awareness of competitor rewards programs. Recommends changes to keep Motorola competitive in the talent market.
- Work is evaluated upon completion to ensure objectives have been met. Determines and develops approach to solutions.
- Exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Receives little instruction on day-to-day work and general instructions on new assignments.
- May influence the activities of junior level personnel (exempt professional and non-exempt).
- Networks with senior, internal and external, personnel in own area of expertise.
- Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts.
- Contributes to the development of organization’s goals and objectives. Represents the organization on projects and may perform in project leadership role.
- Failure to achieve results or erroneous decisions and/or recommendations would normally have serious results and may require substantial expenditure of resources to correct and/or achieve project goals.
- Provides resolutions to a diverse range of complex problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of a variety of factors.
Requirements:
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree* from an accredited college or university in a related field and at least 6 years of directly related experience.
- MS/MBA preferred.
- Professional certification (PHR, SPHR, CCP, CEBS, etc.) preferred.
